Dr Singh sanctions Rs 10.50 lakh for tube well in Sangwali

SAMBA, Dec 16: To overcome the water scarcity problem being faced by the Kandi belt of Sangwali in Ghagwal block of Samba district a tube well will be dug in the village. This was stated by Union Minister in PMO with independent charge of North Eastern States, Dr Jitendra Singh who has adopted Sangwali village under Adarsh Gram Yojna. Though Ghagwal block is part of Samba district but it falls in Kathua, Udhampur and Doda Parliamentary Constituency represented by Dr Jitendra Singh.
The Minister had sanctioned Rs 37.50 lakh from his MP LAD fund for the village and this amount was provided to DC Samba for the development of the village.
Out of this amount Rs 10.50 lakh have been diverted for construction of tube well to provide safe drinking water to the people of the area. This was a long pending demand of the villagers. Dr Singh said that the work on tube well will start tomorrow and it will be completed on war footing basis.
