Dr Sushil gets rare US award, degree of America

Jammu, June 30 : Dr. Sushil Sharma, HoD Cardiology GMC Jammu was today honoured for his seminal contributions in the field of interventional cardiology during the 13th Annual Complex Cardiovascular Cathether Therapeutics (C3): Advanced Endo Vascular and Coronary Intervention Global Summit held at Orlando, USA.
Summit was represented by experts from more than 40 countries of the world. He has also been awarded the degree of Master of Interventional Academy of America (M.I.A.A) by course directors of complex cardiovascular therapeutics.
The prestigious award recognised long-term achievements in developing and promoting innovation, advancement and peer recognition in the healthcare field. The award ceremony began with the introductory address by Dr. Rajesh Dave, Chairman C3 Conference. It is important to mention that Dr.. Shashi Tharoor , Member of Parliament, was the chief guest on the occasion. Others who were awarded were Dr Samuel Mathew (India) Dr Gerhard Schiller (Germany) and Dr Anthony Venbrux (USA) for life time achievement awards.
“Dr. Sushil is a pre-eminent cardiologist, and we are delighted to recognise his remarkable contribution in the field of cardiology through this award”, said Dr. Rajesh Dave. He is credited with the establishment of interventional centre in GMC, Jammu and performed more than 10,000 simple and complex procedures, a notable achievement in a place where he renders his professional service.
