Srinagar, Dec 19: Professor (Dr.) Syed Sajjad Nazir who heads the Department of Urology and Renal Transplantation at the Super Specialty Hospital, has been honoured with the Oliver Trexar Award.
The feat has come for his outstanding video presentation on his innovative laser technique for treating impacted large upper ureteric calculi.
The urologist and academician received this prestigious award at the 6th Advancements in Endourology conference in Ahmedabad from December 15-17.
The international conference, attended by 25 renowned faculty members from various countries, featured Professor (Dr.) Syed Sajjad Nazir’s groundbreaking work.
The conference was inaugurated by the Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, and Chief Minister of Gujarat, Bhupinder Bhai Patel.
Professor (Dr.) Masood Tanvir, Principal/Dean of GMC Srinagar, congratulated the department on this recognition and advancements in improving patient care and outcomes.
“His comprehensive and pioneering work showcased a novel approach to managing a challenging aspect of urological health, garnering accolades from peers and experts in the field,” he said.
