Drive to continue against mafia: SSP

Police seizes 12 vehicles

SAMBA, Mar 06: On the directions of SSP Samba, Benam Tosh and in continuation of drive against illegal mining, Samba Police has seized 12 more vehicles which were being used for illegal mining in district.
Police teams comprising of SHO Police Station (PS), Ghagwal, Bharat Bhushan, SHO PS Samba, Rajeshwar Singh, SHO PS, Purmandal, Vijay Verma, in charge Police Post, Supwal, PSI Diveya Bali, in charge Police Post ,Goran, PSI Sajid Jaral, in charge Police Post, Rajpura PSI, Sudhir Singh Charak and Incharge Police Post, Mansar PSI, Deepak Sharma under the supervision of SDPO, Bari-Brahmana, Rahul Nagar, Dy. SP Headquarters, Samba, Mohammad Usman and Additional SP, Samba, Surinder Choudhary have seized 12 more vehicles being used for illegal mining at different locations in Samba district.
The seized vehicles included Dumper bearing Registration Number, GJ12X-2040, Dumper bearing Registration Number, JK21G-1933 , Dumper bearing Registration Number, JK02CW-6869, Dumper bearing registration Number, JK11F-3909, Tractor Trolley bearing Registration Number, JK21H-2227, Tractor Trolley bearing Registration Number, JK21H-5154, Tractor Trolley bearing Registration Number, JK21H-7128, Tractor Trolley bearing Registration Number, JK21J-0709 and four (04) Tractor Trolleys without registration number.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Samba, Benam Tosh said that total thirty 34 vehicles have been seized within two months for illegal mining by Samba police after launching special drive against illegal mining and police would continue checking the wrongdoings of mining mafia till illegal mining is completely stopped in the district.
