Driver among two die in road accidents

JAMMU, June 6: A driver was among two persons died in road accidents at different locations.
As per police sources, Ashok Kumar, son of Sant Ram, a resident of Manwal, district Udhampur received serious injuries, when the tipper he was driving rolled down into a gorge near Manwal.
He was rushed to nearby hospital and later referred to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where doctors pronounced him as brought dead.
Meanwhile, a road accident victim namely Rattan, son of Rasila Ram of Gangyal succumbed to his injuries at GMCH today.
The victim received serious injuries after being hit by an unknown vehicle at Gangyal yesterday, but today he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
Bodies of both the victims were handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police stations and investigation started.
