Driver arrested with 2600 ltrs kerosene oil

DODA, May 4: Police arrested a driver along with 2600 litres kerosene oil from Kahara area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gandoh police station.
As per police sources, during the intervening night of May 4 and 5, a team from Gandoh police station laid a naka at Kahara and intercepted a tanker bearing registration number JK02F-2590, which was on its way to Thathri from Gandoh.
During questioning, it came to fore that the driver was trying to sale around 2600 litres kerosene oil in Thathri and not supplying the same to Changa and Guari villages and Bhat Market for which it was meant.
Police arrested the driver on the spot, who has been identified as Sushil Kumar, son of Gian Chand of Tikri, district Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 38/16 under Section 3/7 Essential Commodities Act has been registered at police station Gandoh and investigation started.
