JAMMU, Jan 11: Traffic Police National Highway under the supervision of SSP NHW, Rohit Baskotra here today registered an FIR against a driver and arrested him for overloading and endangering human lives and also seized the bus he was driving.
Traffic cops from Traffic Sub Division Ramban led by Inspector Kuldeep Chander, DTI Chanderkote under the supervision of Dy.SP Traffic Ramban, Iftkhar Ahmed while conducting checking at Peerah intercepted a bus bearing registration number JK02BG-3671 while on way from Ramban to Jammu.
During checking it was found that the bus was carrying 58 passengers against the seating capacity of 38 thereby endangering human lives.
On this a case in FIR number 12/2024 US 336 IPC & 194 MV Act was registered at Police Station Chanderkote and the vehicle was seized on the spot and driver of the vehicle Noor Alahi, son of Chiragdin was arrested.
SSP Traffic Baskotra has appealed to the commuters to follow traffic rules and help Traffic Police to make roads safe for all type of users right from the pedestrians to vehicle owners.
