Akhnoor, Nov 17: Akhnoor police has launched a special drive against traffic rule violators under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Mohan Sharma. Under this drive, police have started registering cases for overloading as this act is risking lives of people especially students.
Today, the patrolling party of police station Akhnoor headed by PSI Manojkumar stopped an overloaded minibus bearing registration number JK02AH/ 3057 which was moving from Akhnoor to Mawa.
The driver of the minibus has been arrested for risking precious human lives and vehicle has been seized.
In this regard, case Fir no : 317/2022 under section 279/336 IPC and 194/A MV Act has been registered in police station Akhnoor.
Public is advised to obey traffic rules and inform police in case of any visible violation.
