RAMBAN, Nov 5: Ramsoo Police arrested a driver for overloading and endangering human lives.
As per police sources, a case under FIR Number 136/2021 under Sections 279 and 336 IPC was registered in Police Station Ramaoo against driver namely Muzaffar Ahmed, a resident of Bankoot, Banihal for overloading 25 passengers in the bus, endangering human life and compromising safety of passengers.
SHO Ramsoo also seized the bus bearing registration number JK02AG 8527 and the accused driver was arrested instantly.
To ensure the safety of passengers on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and to decrease the number of accidents which witnessed a significant increase recently, Ramsoo Police is taking stern action against all the traffic rules violators on the highway.
It is pertinent to mention here that in view of significant rise in the number of accidents on the National Highway, Ramban Police has also started a sensitisation programme under the banner of “Accident Awareness Camp” in district Ramban.
The objective of this programme is to sensitise the drivers and passengers plying on National Highway with regard to their safety by abiding all the traffic rules scrupulously.
