Driver, associate arrested for smuggling bovines to Valley

JAMMU, Mar 27: Jhajjar Kotli police arrested driver and his associate for smuggling bovines to Valley.
As per police sources, Team Against Bovines Smuggling (TABS) of Jhajjar Kotli police station under operation Kamdhenu laid a naka and intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration number JK02AJ-0964.
During checking, police rescued 14 bovine animals and arrested the driver and his associate.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Mansha (driver), son of Abdul Rasheed of Kansipatta, district Reasi and Baber (conductor), son of Qazi of Talab.
A case under FIR Number 40/16 under Section 188 RPC and 3/5 PCA Act has been registered at police station Jhajjar Kotli and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Jhajjar Kotli Inspector Ravinder Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma and Additional SP Rural Arun Gupta.
