JAMMU, Aug 31: Greater Kailash police arrested a driver along with his associate along with 25 kilograms of poppy straw.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Greater Kailash Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a truck bearing registration number PB07AB-1951.
During checking, police team recovered 25 kilograms of poppy straw from the vehicle and arrested the driver along with his associate.
The arrested persons were identified as Paramjeet Singh, son of Gurmukh Singh and Sukhwinder Singh, son of Amreek Singh, both residents of Punjab.
A case under FIR Number 103/2020 under section 8/15/21 NDPS Act has been registered at Gangyal Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Greater Kailash Police Post SI Rohit Gandhi and assisted by ASI JP Singh made the arrest.
