KISHTWAR, July 7: Police today registered a case against a driver for putting lives of many passengers in danger on deadly curves after his vehicle of Cruiser make was found overloaded with passengers.
On getting the information, SSP Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal directed for stringent legal action against the erring driver and SHO Police Station Chatroo, Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday registered a case in FIR No. 58/2023 under relevant Sections of law against the erring driver Ashiq Hussain, son of Abdul Rashid, resident of Drubeel.
Taking a serious note of violation and wrong behaviour of the driver, SSP Kishtwar wrote to ARTO Kishtwar for cancellation of licence of the driver and suspension of permit of his vehicle for at least six months.
SSP Kishtwar has appealed to all the drivers of passenger vehicles plying on different routes across Kishtwar to strictly follow traffic rules and any violation in this regard will be strictly dealt.
He said that similar type of drive against violators of traffic norms will be intensified in coming days.
