RAMBAN, Dec 31: Ramsu Police here today recovered the body of a man under mysterious circumstances from a parked taxi of Bolero make in Magarkote area.
Police sources informed that some passers-by spotted a man sleeping in the taxi bearing registration number JK19A-7029 alongside a road in Magarkote since Tuesday morning and informed the concerned Ramsu Police which reached the spot and opened the window of the vehicle and found the man dead on the back seat of the vehicle.
Cops shifted the body to District Hospital Ramban for post-mortem and other legal formalities.
The deceased was identified as driver of the vehicle Reyaz Ahmad Sheikh, son of Mohammad Iqbal Sheikh, resident of Chandroog, Ramban.
SHO Police Station Ramsu, Inspector Nayeem Matoo said the body would be handed over to legal heirs after completing medico legal formalities on Wednesday morning.
A case in this regard has been registered under Section 194 of BNS at Police Station Ramsu and investigation started.
