JAMMU, Sept 29: A tempo driver was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his own vehicle in Gujjar Nagar area of Jammu, today.
“The deceased was identified as Jagmeet Singh (29) son of late Ajmer Singh, resident of Sawan Chak (Kathua),” a police official. He said the deceased was lying unconscious at back seat of the vehicle (bearing registration number JK02AW-2065) which was parked at JDA parking in Prem Nagar, Jammu.
The official said prima facie it appears that the driver died due to overdose of drugs as some syringes was found in the vehicle near his body. He said the body has been shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for postmortem while inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC has been initiated in this connection at concerned police station.
