DODA, Dec 14: A driver was killed, when the Tata Mobile he was driving rolled down into gorge near Kahara area, falling under the jurisdiction of Gundoh police station.
As per police sources, a Tata Mobile bearing registration number JK17-1794 plunged into gorge near Kahara area this evening, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to CHC Thathri, from where he was later referred to GMC Jammu, but the victim breathed his last at Thathri.
The deceased has been identified as Zakir Hussain alias Bittu (26), son of Bashir Ahmed of Guas Gandoh.
The body of the deceased has been kept in CHC Thatri for postmortem, which will be conducted tomorrow.
A case in this regard has been registered at police station Thathri and investigation started.
