Driver killed after trucks collide

RAMBAN, Sept 29: Collision between two trucks here today left a driver dead near Sarika Mandir, Dalwass on National Highway 44.
Police said that a truck bearing registration UP38T-6062 loaded with flour hit one mini truck bearing registration number JK02CB-7211 loaded with liquor, near Sarika temple in Dalwass.
Both the vehicles were moving towards Kashmir.
They said that the accident left drivers of one of these vehicles dead on the spot and the deceased driver got stuck under the body of loaded truck and was evacuated after hectic efforts.
Police has identified the deceased as Mohammad Firoz, 25, son of Rahis Ahmed, resident of village Bhajoi tehsil and district Sambhal, Ferozpur in UP.
After autopsy, the body was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
SHO Police Station Chanderkote J.S Rakwal said that a case under relevant sections of law was registered in this regard and investigations started.
