DODA, June 27: A driver was killed, while one another was injured, when the Tempo Traveller, they were traveling in, skidded off the road and plunged into gorge near Zaine village in Kashtigarh, here.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK02AP-3053 was on its way from Doda to Kashtigarh, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it landed into 150 feet deep gorge near village Zaine, resulting into on the spot death of driver and injuries to one another.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person identified as Ram Lal, son of Choru Ram of Banzal Kashtigarh to District Hospital, where he was undergoing treatment, when reports last came in.
The body of the deceased identified as Santosh Singh, son of Gulail Singh of Banzal Kashtigarh Doda has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
