RAMBAN, Mar 4: A driver was killed when the Tavera car he was driving rolled down into Bisleri nallah on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway here today.
The ill fated vehicle bearing registration number JK04G-2854 was on its way to Jammu from Kashmir when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled into Bisleri nallah near Ramsu, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
The driver identified as Zahoor Ahmed Elahi, son of Fateh Elahi, a resident of Baramulla Kashmir was evacuated by the local volunteers and police and shifted to PHC Ramsu. He was later shifted to SDH Banihal, where he failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his injuries.
The body of the deceased has been shifted to mortuary of SDH Banihal for completion of medical and legal formalities.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Ramsu and investigation started.
