REASI, Sept 17: A dumper today plunged into a deep gorge on Chinkah-Reasi road, resulting into death of its driver.
“The accident took place near Plapri area on Chinkah Reasi road,” a police official said. He said that the dumper bearing registration number JK11A-7571 was in speed due to which the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into a deep gorge.
He said while the driver of the dumper, Mohd Ikhlak (25) son of Mohd Ishaq of Bagori in district Rajouri, died on spot, the helper managed to save his life by jumping out of the vehicle on time.
“The concerned police had taken cognizance of the matter and handed over the body to its legal heirs for last rites after getting conducted postmortem of the deceased at a hospital,” the official added.
