KISHTWAR, Sept 18: A driver was killed when the tipper he was driving rolled down into gorge near Bhandarkoot area here.
As per police sources, a tipper bearing registration number JK02AS-0696 rolled down into gorge near Bhandarkoot area, resulting into serious injuries to the driver.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and shifted the injured driver to District Hospital Kishtwar, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased was identified as Sandeep Kumar of Palmar, District Kishtwar.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to legal heirs for last rites.
A case under relevant sections has been registered at Kishtwar Police Station and investigation started.
