DODA, Mar 24: A driver was killed when the car he was driving skidded off the road and fell into a deep gorge here.
As per police sources, a car bearing registration number JK02-4333 was on its way from Dhara towards Babore, when the driver, lost control over the vehicle at Bheri area and it skidded off the road and fell down into 300-feet deep gorge resulting into on the spot death of driver.
On receiving information, police and locals rushed to the spot and brought out the driver from the vehicle and took him to district hospital where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Shabir, son of Ghulam Mohammad of Baboor, District Doda.
The body was handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
A case in this regard has been registered at Doda police station and investigation started.
