Driver killed, conductor injured in accident

RAMBAN, Mar 24: Driver of a Tipper (Dumper) lost his life while his helper sustained critical injuries after the vehicle in which they were travelling-in plunged into a gorge near Kulchoch on Sangaldan-Barala link road during early hours of Sunday.
Police informed that a Dumper bearing registration number JK21G-8088 moving from Sangaldan to Barala rolled down into 150 feet deep gorge at Kulchoch leaving the driver of the vehicle dead on the spot while the conductor sustained critical injuries.
On getting information about the accident Police with the help of locals shifted both dead and the injured to PHC Sangaldan.
Police identified the deceased driver as Surinder Singh, son of Bir Singh, resident of Haroog Dharamkund while the conductor was identified as Ram Prasad, son of Munshi Ram, resident of Manjal Bandhan, Sangaldan.
Police has registered a case in FIR number 28 of 2024 under Section 279/337/304-A of Indian Penal Code at Police Station Gool and started investigation.
