KISHTWAR, Jan 9: Driver of a vehicle was killed in an accident here today.
Sources informed that driver of the vehicle Dumper bearing registration number JK17A-9247 engaged at Kiru Hydro Electric Project Kishtwar met with an accident at the project site.
After accident, the driver Imtiyaz Ahmed, son of Abdul Rehman, resident of Doda received grievous injuries and got stuck inside the damaged cabin of the vehicle.
By the time he was brought out he was dead.
His dead body was shifted to District Hospital Kishtwar for post-mortem and other legal formalities after which it was handed over to his family members for last rites.
Police has registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
