BHADERWAH, Sept 26: A driver was killed, when the load carrier he was driving skidded off the road and plunged into deep gorge at Malhori area on Batote-Kishtwar highway, today.
The ill-fated vehicle bearing registration number JK06-4383 was on its way to Doda from Jammu, when the driver lost control over the vehicle and it rolled down into deep gorge at Malhori area, resulting into on the spot death of the driver.
On getting information, police team along with army personnel and locals rushed to the spot and shifted the body of the deceased to District Hospital.
After completing legal formalities, the body of the deceased identified as Abdul Qayoom (30), son of Qutab Singh, a resident of Ganika, District Doda has been handed over to family members for last rites.
A case in this regard has been registered and investigation started.
