JAMMU, June 21: Drivers and Cleaners Union of PHE Department highlighted their demands in a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of its chairman, Kulwant Singh.
The demands which were discussed threadbare in the meeting included regularization of daily wager cleaners of the department against the vacant posts, release of backlog wages of last 22 months, auction of old condemned vehicles like trucks, water tankers, jeeps etc and purchasing of new ones.
The meeting also highlighted the demand of removal of pay anomalies in drivers and cleaners cadre. The Union stressed upon the Government for early redressal of all their genuine demands to avoid any confrontation.
