Drowned student’s body fished out from Tawi

JAMMU, May 17: The body of the class 11th student, who got drowned in river Tawi yesterday, was fished out today.
As per police sources, police team led by SDPO Nagrota Bharat Bhushan Sharma along with Army personnel and SDRF launched extensive search today morning to fish out the body of the class 11th student namely Vishant Verma (17), son of Deepak Kumar of Dhok Waziran, who got drowned in river Tawi near back side area of Sainik School Nagrota, yesterday afternoon.
After day long hectic efforts, the body was fished out from the river this evening and later shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).
After completing legal formalities, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
A case in this regard already stands registered with Nagrota police station and investigation is going on.
It is to mention that, two class 11th students identified as Danesh Hans (17), son of Ashok Kumar of Nadore and Vishant Verma got drowned in river Tawi near back side of Sainik School Nagrota, yesterday afternoon.
The body of Danesh Hans was fished out yesterday and after completing legal formalities at GMCH it was handed over to family members for last rites today.
