Drowned student’s body remains untraced

JAMMU, May 5: The body of the student of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi who drowned in river Tawi while taking bath yesterday remained untraced till late evening today.
As per police sources, eight students of School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi after paying obeisance at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine at Katra were taking bath in the river Tawi at Hari-ki-Pauri, Bagh-e-Bahu when two students drowned and six others were rescued by a rescue team comprising of river police and disaster management officials.
The body of one of the drowned students namely Amit Tiwari, a resident of Varanasi was retrieved yesterday, while the body of the second student identified as Rakesh, a resident of Rajasthan remained untraced till rescue operation was called off late this evening.
The search operation will continue tomorrow to trace the body of the youth.
