UDHAMPUR, Aug 3: Body of the youth who had drowned while taking bath in Dudhar Nallah, Udhampur on July 31 evening, was fished out today.
The deceased, identified as Vansh Raj Singh (19), son of Deep Singh, resident of Raun Udhampur, was taking bath in the Dudhar Nallah along with another friend when he suddenly slipped into deep water and drowned.
Even as Police launched a search operation along with SDRF, NDRF teams and locals, the body could not be traced out. Team of divers from 9-Para Regiment today fished out the body from about three km downstream near a stone crusher at Darsoo in Tawi River.
After all the legal formalities and postmortem, the body was handed over to family members of the deceased.
