DODA, Apr 27: Police here today booked an alleged drug addict and lodged him in District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive custody.
Police sources informed that a number of complaints were received at Police Station Bhaderwah against one Amir Hussain, son of Khurshid Ahmed, resident of Bhalla for his involvement in drug addiction and in alluring the youngsters to consume and supply drugs besides getting other youth involved in drug addiction.
Acting upon this alarming information, Police swung into action and a detailed report regarding the involvement of the addict-peddler in drug trade as well as involving other youth in the same was prepared and a Police party led by Inspector, Jatinder Singh, SHO Bhaderwah apprehended him and produced him before the Executive Magistrate Class 1st Bhaderwah where from he was sent to District Jail Bhaderwah under preventive detention.
