UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: Udhampur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10 kg contraband poppy straw from his possession.
The accused, namely Mohd Junaid, son of Mohd Basharat of Bona Gund, Anantnag, was intercepted by a Police party of PP Tikri, led by PSI Abdul Satar during patrolling at link road towards SMVDU.
On frisking, 10 kg of poppy straw was recovered from his possession. Police arrested the accused and registered case FIR number 27/2022, under section 8/15 NDPS Act in PS Rehambal.
