REASI, Feb 1: Katra Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 5.53 grams of heroin like substance from his possession, here today.
The accused, namely Rinku, son of Manohar Lal, resident of W.No. 11, Keshav Nagar Matyal, Katra, was on way from Nomain link road towards Katra town on a motorcycle bearing Registration No. JK14J-2409 when he was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Katra.
During checking, 5.53 grams of heroin like substance was recovered from his possession. Following this, Police arrested the accused on the spot.
A case FIR No. 29/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in this connection at Police Station Katra and investigation was initiated to unearth backward and forward linkage.
