SRINAGAR, Apr 28: Continuing its drive against drug menace, Police apprehended a drug peddler and seized 1.4 kilograms of charas from his possession in Bandipora district today.
A Police spokesman said that based on specific information, a naka (checkpoint) was laid at Rakh Shilwat by police party of Police Station Sumbal and during checking, a drug peddler identified as Adil Ahmed Hajam, a resident of Rakh Shilwat was apprehended and 1.4 kilograms of charas was recovered from his possession.
