UDHAMPUR, Apr 2: Police Team of Police Post Tikri arrested a drug peddler and recovered 6.62 grams of heroin like substance from his possession, here today.
The accused was coming from Manthal side towards Udhampur on foot and attempted to escape on seeing police team, but was apprehended. On frisking, Police team recovered 6.62 grams of heroin like contraband substance from the accused, following which he was arrested on the spot.
The arrested accused was identified as Udhav Sharma, son of Ram Kumar Sharma, resident of Chabutra Bazar, Paba Gali Udhampur.
In this regard, a case FIR under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered in Police Station Rehambal.
