Srinagar, Mar 13: Police today arrested a drug peddler from Pulwama and recovered 21 bottles of psychotropic substances, codeine from his possession.
In a statement issued here, police said, the officers at a checkpoint established at Shadimarg crossing intercepted a suspicious person identified as Muneer Ahmad Bhat, resident of Drabgam Bala, Rajpora.
“During checking, officers were able to recover 21 bottles of Codeine from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to Police Station Rajpora where he remains in custody,” police said.
Accordingly, case FIR No. 19/2021 under relevant Sections of law has been registered.
