SAMBA, Nov, 2: Continuing its drive against the menace of drugs, District Police Samba under the overall supervision of SSP, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan has arrested a drug peddler in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS), Vijaypur and recovered approximately seven grams of Heroin (Chitta) like substance along with cash and other items including one Kirch & air pistol from his possession.
After developing specific information regarding drug peddling in the area of Gurha Salathia, Vijaypur, a naka was established by Additional SP Samba, Surinder Choudhary along with PSI, Deepika Kumari and PSI SajidJaral of PS Vijaypur in the area.
During naka, one person who was selling Chitta in the lane near his house was nabbed and identified as Sahil Singh, son of Yashpal Singh of UdhMandi, Gurha Salathia.
During his personal search, approximately seven grams of Heroin like substance (Chitta), foil Paper, five lighters, Scissors, Torch, Cutter, two syringes, cash of Rs 23110/- , weighing machine, Kirch, pouch, four mobile phones, and one air pistol have been recovered from his possession.
In this connection, a case FIR No. 168/2022 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act 4/25 Arms Act registered at PS Vijaypur. Further investigation started.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the last month, Police Station Vijaypur headed by SHO, Inspector, Tribhuvan Khajuria under the supervision of SDPO, Vijaypur Ms. Priyanka Kumari has registered two cases under NDPS Act and got detained a notorious narcotics smuggler under PSA .
