Drug peddler arrested with banned syrup bottles

JAMMU, May 16: Gangyal police arrested a drug peddler along with large quantity of banned syrup bottles.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal police station laid a naka at Kunjwani Chowk and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 165 bottles of banned syrup and arrested the accused, who has been identified as Sikander Ahmed, son of Bashir Ahmed of Gambhir Mughlan.
He had brought the consignment from New Delhi to sale it among the youth here, but got landed in police net.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Gangyal police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal Inspector Aejaz Wani made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Sachin Gupta and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
