RAMBAN, Apr 22: Chan-derkote police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 700 grams cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Chanderkote Police Station laid a naka and intercepted a mini-bus bearing registration number JK06-0383.
During checking, police recovered 700 grams cannabis from the possession of one person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Ghulam Hassan, son of Fatta Reshi, a resident of Kothtal, Banihal.
A case under FIR Number 19/18 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chanderkote and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Chanderkote Inspector Aabid Bukhari made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Ramban Tussif Ahmed and SSP Ramban Mohan Lal.
