REASI, Mar 1: Police today arrested a drug peddler and seized 100 grams of cannabis from his possession.
Reports said that during a surprise checking at Simbal Chua, Police party of Police Station Reasi stopped one Motorcycle bearing Registration number JK02AL- 8814. During checking, five rolls of cannabis like substance, weighing approximately 100 grams, were recovered from possession of the motorcyclist, who was arrested on the spot.
The accused disclosed his identity as Rampal, son of Chuni Lal of Dassano. Besides arresting the accused, Police also seized the recovered cannabis as well as the motorcycle.
In this regard, a case FIR No 40, U/S 8/20 NDPS Act was registered at PS Reasi. The recovery was made by Inspector Tribhuwan Khajuria, I/C SHO Reasi under supervision of Iftikhar Ahmed, DySP Hqtrs Reasi and Surjeet Kumar, Addl SP Reasi.
