RAMBAN, May 30: Chanderkote police arrested a drug peddler along with charas.
As per police sources, based on specific information, a team from Chanderkote police station laid a naka at Raj Garh link road and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police recovered 80 grams charas from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him on the spot.
The drug peddler has been identified as Irshad Ahmed, son of Abdul Rashid, a resident of Raj Garh, district Ramban.
A case under FIR Number 21/17 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Chanderkote police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
