UDHAMPUR, May 31: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 10.300 grams of heroin.
As per police spokesman, a team from Udhampur Police Station laid a naka at Salathia Chowk and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 10.300 grams heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Rahil Deep, son of Gopal Krishan, a resident of Barrian, Ward Number 5, District Udhampur.
A case under FIR Number 231/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Udhampur Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Udhampur Inspector Sanjeev Gupta made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kulbir Handa and SSP Udhampur Rayees Mohammad Bhat.
