UDHAMPUR, July 2: Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a police team laid a naka at Dhar Road and intercepted a person.
During checking, police recovered 2 grams of heroin from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Amir Khan, son of Farooq Khan, a resident of Seri Bazaar, tehsil Bhaderwah, district Doda.
A case under FIR Number 299/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Udhampur Police Station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Udhampur Inspector Vijay Choudhary and assisted by Incharge Roun Domail Police Post SI Jaswinder Singh, SgCt Gian and SgCt Ashok Singh made the arrest under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kulbir Handa.
