Drug peddler arrested with heroin

JAMMU, Sept 28: Gujjar Nagar police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gujjar Nagar Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian.
During checking, police team recovered 6 grams heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Wasim Akram alias Sonu, son of Mohammad Hanief, a resident of Prem Nagar Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 58/18 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Peer Mitha and investigation started.
Police team led by Incharge Gujjar Nagar Police Post SI Zaheer Mushtaq made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Peer Mitha Inspector Sajjad Ahmad, SDPO City Varun Jandial, Incharge SP City Girdhari Lal Sharma and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.=
