JAMMU, Aug 19: Sidhra police under Operation Sanjeevani arrested a drug peddler along with 10 grams heroin and Rs 27,000.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sidhra police post laid a naka at Dingyali and intercepted a person, who was trying to hide himself after seeing police cops.
During checking, police recovered 10 grams heroin and Rs 27000 cash from the possession of the man and arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Mohammad Aslam alias Sonu, son of Rehmat Ali, a resident of Dingyali.
A case under relevant Sections of law has been registered at Nagrota police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by Incharge Sidhra police post SI Tariq Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
