SAMBA, Aug 12: In its continuous drive against the drug menace, district police Samba under the overall supervision of Dr. Koshal Sharma, SSP Samba arrested one drug peddler and recovered 2gms heroin (Chitta).
A Police party of PS Bari Brahmana headed by Inspector, Ravinder Singh Rakwal, SHO Bari Brahmana and under the direct supervision of Dr. Ashok Sharma, SDPO Bari Brahmana during surprise naka at Kartholi, Bari Brahmana intercepted one person on suspicious ground. During frisking, 2gm of heroin (Chitta) was recovered from him. He has been identified as Ajay Kumar, S/o Avtar Chand R/o Ward No. 6 Kartholi, Bari Brahmana.
The drug peddler was arrested on the spot and contraband item was also seized. In this regard a case FIR No. 144/2018 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS ACT has been registered at P/S Bari Brahmana and investigation started.
