UDHAMPUR, Oct 19: Udhampur Police arrested a drug peddler from Tikri area and recovered 6.04 grams of contraband heroin like substance from his possession.
The accused was travelling in a vehicle (Ford Fusion), bearing registration number JK01J- 5464, which was stopped at naka checking by a Police party of PS Rehambal, led by SHO Pushpinder Singh and assisted by PSI Satish Katil, IC PP Tikri, under the supervision of Dy SP Hqrs Udhampur S Gurmeet Singh.
During frisking, Police recovered 06.04 grams of contraband heroin like substance from possession of the driver, who was identified as Amir Sheikh, son of Mohd Yousuf Sheikh of Pulwama.
Police arrested the accused and seized the contraband as well as the vehicle. In this regard, a case FIR number 269/2023 under relevant sections of NDPS Act has been registered in PS Rehambal.
