Drug peddler arrested with Rs 2.50 lakh heroin

JAMMU, Mar 25: Janipur police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a drug peddler and recovered heroin worth Rs 2.50 lakh from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Janipur Police Station conducted raid in a house and during checking, police recovered 25 grams heroin valuing Rs 2.50 lakh and arrested a drug peddler.
The arrested person has been identified as Mohit Baba alias Mummy, son of Sham Lal, a resident of Shant Nagar, Janipur.
A case under FIR Number 29/18 under Section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Janipur Police Station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by DySP Headquarters Mansha Beig along with SHO Janipur SI Bimal Indu made the arrest under the supervision of SP City Dr Vinod Kumar and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
