DODA, Apr 3: Thathri Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered 90 grams of cannabis from his possession.
As per police sources, on specific information a team from Police Station Thathri led by SHO Inspector Amrit Katoch laid a naka near Kalnai bridge and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 90 grams of cannabis from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Sohrab Wani, son of Mohammad Ashraf Wani, a resident of Tanta Tehsil Kahara District Doda.
A case FIR Number 40/2022 under Section 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Thathri and investigation initiated to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
