JAMMU, Oct 20: Kanachack Police arrested a drug peddler with cannabis and heroin.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Police Station Kanachack led by SHO Inspector Vishav Partap Singh laid a naka at Sua Number 1 and asked a pedestrian to stop for checking.
On seeing cops, the pedestrian tried to escape, but was intercepted after a brief chase.
During checking, police team recovered 47 grams cannabis and 1 gram heroin from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Shama, a resident of Rajpura District Jammu.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation started.
The arrest was made under the supervision of SDPO Domana Sunil Singh and SP Rural Sanjay Sharma.
