Drug peddler arrested with charas

SRINAGAR, Nov 18: Police today arrested a drug peddler in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district and recovered charas from his possession.
A police party from Police Station Chandoosa, led by SHO PS Chandoosa and supervised by SDPO Kreeri, apprehended the individual at a checkpoint established at Darwa, Chandoosa, police said.
The person, identified as Mushtaq Ahmad Ganie, son of Ali Mohammad Ganie and resident of Mongam Kreeri, was intercepted during the operation.
“During the search, 50 grams Charas was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and taken to PS Chandoosa, where he is currently in custody.”
A case under relevant Sections of law has been registered at Police Station Chandoosa, and further investigation has been initiated, police said
