Drug peddler arrested with ganja

JAMMU, May 31: Police arrested a drug peddler along with 2 kilograms ganja from Narwal area, falling under the jurisdiction of Trikuta Nagar police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team apprehended a drug peddler along with 2 kilograms ganja from Narwal.
The accused has been identified as Purshotam Chander, son of Mahavir Chander of Chattisgarh.
He had brought the consignment from his native State and was about to sell it among the youths here, but police nabbed him.
A case under FIR Number 95/16 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Trikuta Nagar police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Trikuta Nagar Inspector Kuldeep Khajuria and assisted by Incharge Narwal police post SI Wasim Mehraj made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO East Chandan Kohli and SP South Shaazad Salaria.
